Like a vintage Margaux, Clearbrook continues to improve with age.  Rounder, smoother, fuller …mature, elegant & full-bodied!  In its 80+ years (founded in 1926) it's undergone countless updates that have touched literally every hole. The traditional close-cut, narrow fairways and smooth, fast, smaller greens are styled after America's original classic resort courses, and still make Clearbrook the challenge and joy to play that it is.  At a ripe-old age, what was once traditional ... has now become classic! 

Afer our 2010 reconstruction of the #11 and #12 Green complexes, our 2011 remodel of the 2nd and 3rd fairways gave them an entirely NEW feel and look.  AND they're both DRY!  This season, 2013, the dredging of our creek bottom and irrigation ponds is underway, allowing thorough drainage of our valley fairways and landing areas.  Along with new, sustainable fairway turf on 6 fairways .... our confidence in this classic course is stronger than ever.  The results have been overwhelming, and so has the response.

Only 35 miles from downtown Grand Rapids and 10 minutes from Holland, Clearbrook has been a qualifying site for the Michigan Open and has hosted some of the areas finest players and tournaments - such as the West Michigan PGA Championship. And it is regularly chosen as the site of many fine charity events.

 This mature par-72 course has expanded to 6556 yards (plenty long for all but the very strongest and most accomplished players!) and a 131 slope.  A fine assortment of intriguing holes test every club in your bag.  You drive down tight pine and hardwood lined fairways that end at smaller, well-bunkered target greens that putt beautifully.  All sorts of water, especially the meandering "clear brook" challenge you.  And, its hillsides and hazards make choosing the right stick a huge factor in your score.  The par five 5th hole, reachable in two (at 491 yards), is rated in "West Michigan's Top 18" by Grand Rapids Magazine, and crosses two (2) creeks before the large, two tiered green. It's a classic risk-reward hole that makes you think twice before going for it!
