MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
as of Nov. 2006
Clearbrook Memberships include use of the course, social and sporting event activities, club storage availability, charge privileges and discounts.

Cards are issued for each family member included in the membership purchased, by name. Use of facilities is subject to prior booking, such as tournaments, special events, etc. Paid Junior or Child of Members may be subject to some restrictions on play, but should not expect to play without their parent or guardian if under age 14. To qualify as a child of member, children must be under age 21 at the date the first membership payment is paid. Limitations are possible on charge privileges. Memberships are non-transferable, non-refundable, and valid for the current season only (up until next year’s rates are mailed). Following November 30 of each year, memberships for the following year must be paid or deposited to entitle member privileges.

Rules and membership information assure maximum enjoyment of the Club facilities for all. Interpretation and enforcement are the responsibility of Club Management. Items are subject to periodic revision.

Credit Cards and Member Charges
Members with charge privileges at Clearbrook will receive their billing for monthly charges along with a newsletter early each month in season. Accounts not paid by cash or check by the 15th will receive a lump-sum entry on the major credit card account provided to the Club in their application for membership. This helps the Club eliminate some costs, and assists the member in avoiding additional check writing while some accumulate points on credit card incentive plans. Major credit cards are accepted for purchases except for initial payment of membership dues. Members agree to keep the Club supplied with their current credit card and notify the Accounting Manager of changes in account numbers. The club agrees to keep these numbers secure. Members also agree to accept full responsibility for their charges in the event payment from the supplied credit card does not fully pay Clearbrook. Past-due amounts (those not paid within the standard monthly billing cycle) are subject to a time-price differential of 2% monthly (2% monthly finance fee).Charges by family of a Member must be signed with their own name, and the member’s name & number. Charge privileges may be revoked at management’s discretion.

Members agree to abide with reasonable credit and charge policies implemented by management. Members are advised to always sign their completed tabs and charge chits, and to review these transactions at the time of purchase. Every effort is dedicated to maintain accuracy of charges, however, when mistakes occur we ask your courtesy in resolving the problem with our management or accounting staff

Members are responsible for all actions and debts of their family and guests.

The Club reserves the right to close, restrict or limit use of the Club facilities to any or all members for the purpose of maintenance, safety, special events, or general good of the club. Closings of this sort will be infrequent at most, normally with advance notice provided.

Automobiles must be parked properly in designated spaces and never in "No Parking" areas, ingress/egress routes, or handicapped spaces without being handicap licensed.

All foods and beverages served or consumed on the Club property are to be provided by the Club, unless prior permission from management is received.

Our Dress Code
Golfers must wear appropriate golf attire. Halter-tops, bikini tops, cut-offs, tank tops, undershirts, gym trunks, and swimsuits are not accepted. Shirts with collars are required for men (banded collars qualify). This code applies to the entire property, not just the golf course.

Metal spikes are not allowed on the golf facilities.

Golf Club Bags are to be racked outdoors and not brought into the Clubhouse or Golf Shop.

Members, guests or public players may not bring coolers and ice chests on to the property.

Members may not ask any employee to serve alcoholic beverage to minors, and minors may not order them. Member’s bar tabs left unsigned will be closed with 15% gratuity added.

Club bulletin boards are for Club use. Please obtain management permission for posting.

Club facilities and premises are to be used at the sole risk of the member. The Club, or Clearbrook Corporation, or its agents or employees are not liable for injury or damage (what this means is that Clearbrook does not pay for damage members cause or is caused to them).

All personal and private property (including golf clubs) on the Club premises is at the sole risk of the owner, and members agree to hold Clearbrook Corporation, its employees, managers, and owners harmless for any damage or theft.

Club storage is provided as a convenience, and is at the member’s own risk. The Bag Room will be locked when the Golf Shop is closed, and every effort will be made for reasonable security, however, the cost of total safeguarding of club storage would far outweigh the modest fee charged. Members need to provide their own insurance coverage (normally under homeowner’s policies) for their personal possessions on Club property.

Theft or damage to personal property should be reported to management immediately. The Club’s risk carrier is not obligated to reimburse up to deductible amounts.

Course Rules as of Nov. 2006
All members, guests, and public players are to register with the Golf Shop prior to each and every time they use the course.

Members may make reservations for tee times up to FOURTEEN days in advance. Members are responsible for keeping their tee time as booked, and agree to pay for reserved slots they do not fully utilize, at posted rates.

Players are required to keep pace with the group ahead. Their position on the course is behind the group ahead, NOT ahead of the group behind. An empty hole ahead MAY indicate the players are not keeping up, but not necessarily. They may be requested to skip a hole to speed play. Slow players are requested to keep pace by picking up or speeding up instead of inviting those behind to "play through." Minimum pace per our scorecard is required. Please self monitor so embarrassing enforcement can be avoided.

Foursomes are encouraged during all times. Foursomes, and groups up to four, playing on-pace have priority on the golf course. The Golf Shop can assist in pairing singles and twosomes. Smaller groups should NEVER EXPECT to play through, or be expected to play faster. Instead, they should join up with others to form a foursome, or play patiently until accepting an invitation to play through. Players have a responsibility to maintain their position and keep pace. 4hr 16min pace is the standard for all groups of all size!

Weekday "after-work" times, and Saturday mornings are generally very busy tee times. You must expect slower play during busy times (just like rush hour on the roads). The Golf Shop staff will always attempt to expedite play and keep the course on pace.

Permission from the Golf Manager is required for more than four players to play at one tee time. Such may or may not be granted.

Play must start on #1 Tee, except with permission from the Golf Shop.

Golf Bags are not to be placed on the putting greens. All depressions and ball marks are to be repaired by the player, immediately.

Divot replacement is mandatory at Clearbrook. No exceptions.

Sand bunkers are to be raked smooth by the player before leaving. Players are to repair every ball mark they cause on any green.

Two golfers may not play out of the same bag. Golf bags are to be racked outdoors and not brought into the Clubhouse or Golf Shop.

Members renting carts as a single rider may not allow golfing passengers on the cart without notifying the Golf Shop and paying the two-rider fee. Only two adults are allowed on a golf cart at a time.

Pull carts, including folding pull carts, are not to be carried on power carts due to possible cart damage.

Players are responsible for any damages they cause to Club property, including golf carts, and are required to report damages to management immediately upon return to the Clubhouse.

Carts are required to stay at least 30 feet from Tees and Greens, or on cart paths.

Only licensed drivers may drive or move golf carts without specific permission from the Golf Shop. Members are NOT to let their children drive carts unless the child is a licensed driver. This risk is too great. Please don’t subject the club to it.

Cart drivers are asked to avoid all soft or muddy areas. Please drive in the rough whenever possible, and cross fairways at 90 degrees.

Members who have the Club’s permission to use their personal golf cart are required to pay the seasonal TRAIL FEE, provide insurance and agreement form, and register with the Golf Shop prior to every use of the course. Residing adjacent to the golf course implies no use of the Club property or the golf course without current payment of membership dues or daily fee, and per-use permission from the Golf Shop.

Driving range balls are not to be used on the golf course NOR standard balls on the driving range

Long-hitting players using the Driving Range are requested to aim at the Blue target green and NEVER at the houses.

Only non-metal "greens friendly" spikes are allowed, and should be cleaned before entering the Clubhouse.

The golf course is dangerous, with frequent out-of-control golf balls flying at high speeds. It is privately owned property, as are its stream banks and ponds. Snowmobiles, bicycles, pets, fishing, jogging or walks are not permitted on the Course, and permission for use of Course property for ANY reason must be obtained from management or the Golf Shop.

Winter Play is not allowed at Clearbrook, as part of a continuing effort to promote and preserve healthy playing turf for the primary playing season. Off-season play is only allowed when the Shop is staffed and open for member and non-member payment of fees. A call to the Shop is needed to know the status of the course any particular off-season day. Our general dates for in-season play will be approximately March 16 through November 15 of each year, weather dependent. Any play outside of these dates should not be anticipated."
